Therapy for Women and Moms in Phoenix, Throughout Arizona & South Carolina

Frequently Asked Questions About Online Therapy

Please reach us at admin@hopecanyoncounseling.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Absolutely!

Babies in arms are always welcome.

That's okay!  I meet with individuals experiencing various situations. If you're not a new or expecting parent but are interested in working together, let's connect.

Online therapy is counseling on your couch instead of mine! The process is identical to working with a therapist in a traditional office, except we talk to each other via a HIPAA compliant video platform. You can launch the call from the device of your choice. I work with clients via a HIPAA compliant video platform who are physically located in Arizona or South Carolina.

I tend to use Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy approaches (CBT, DBT, ACT, etc) and Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  I believe that there is no one style that works for a person through the entire course of treatment.  That means that I individualize my approach to fit your needs.  By identifying and working towards your goals together, we can measure if my approach needs to be adjusted during our work together.  Typically, I'm a bit more hands-on with realistic exercises, creative options and maybe even homework between sessions.

When we are scheduled for an appointment, you will be sent a link to the client portal.

All you need is a device (phone, tablet, laptop, or computer) with internet or cell connection.

I believe that therapy works best when we have a rapport together.  For this reason, I offer a free 15-minute consultation so that you and I can meet and make sure we are a good match.

For our first initial appointment, we will meet for 75 minutes.  During this appointment we'll do a bit of a deeper dive into what you'd like to work on.  Each appointment from there is 50 minutes.

15-minute Consultation - Free

Initial Appointment - $250

Routine Appointment - $200

These fees are for people who wish to pay out of pocket.  If I am in-network with your insurance plan, your cost would be determined by your plan.

Yes!

Hope Canyon Counseling is currently in-network with Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Cigna EAP, Magellan, Optum & Sana Benefits.

Even if I am not contracted or in-network with your insurance company you may request that I provide you with a superbill so that you can request reimbursement directly from your insurer.

For people who wish to pay on their own for sessions, you will be provided a Good Faith Estimate to get an understanding of the cost of treatment at the beginning.  This is in compliance with the "No Surprises Act."

See Hope Canyon Counseling's Public Disclosure (below) in accordance with this law.
